FAQ

Why is there a need for JS?

JS was formed at a time where the Muslims are facing a large crisis. The Muslims, who in history are recognised as a major contributors to human civilisation, have fallen into a malaise in which they have been overtaken by adverse conditions such as poverty, militance, oppression. JS hopes to offer the Muslims a way to reverse these conditions and return them to a state where they will be positively contributing to the betterment of humanity.

How is JS different from liberal Muslim groups?

JS probably shared some beliefs and actions with liberal (as well as conservative Muslim groups) but what sets JS apart is that it wishes not to liberalise but to originalise. This is different in that liberalism draws from values which aren’t necessarily from originalised Islam.

Why do you exclude non-Muslims from your discourse?

As a matter of fact, JS disagrees with the term ‘non-Muslim’, preferring the term ‘humankind’. JS focuses on the socio-cultural group in the world called the Muslims. This group has its own unique heritage which has been coloured by ideologies which contradict original Islam. JS gears its arguments towards what it perceives to be negative elements in Islam and Muslim society. However, JS does not exclude anyone from participating in it’s discussions or activities.

What do you identify as causes of the adverse conditions of the Muslims?

In a word, Paceism. PACEism stands for Pan-Arabic Cultural Exclusivism. Paceism is an ideology which covers original Islam and changes the orientation of the Muslims from the substantial values of Islam to the nominal values of Pan-Arab culture. This shift robs the Muslims of what they need to excel in the world and they focus instead on the superfluous and the unimportant.
